Russian Name Search™ is Celatro's pattern matching product designed to retrieve different transliterations of Russian personal names.

Searching for a name in a language that does not use the Roman script can be very complex, due to the various possible transliterations. This is particularly true of Russian name retrieval. For example, the Russian name 'Josif' can be rendered as 'Iosiff', 'Yosiph' or 'Jozeph'. Such inconsistencies make data recall very difficult. 

Since general pattern matching algorithms are not sufficient to address this problem, Celatro's Russian Name Search™ combines algorithmic with language and cultural-specific expertise. On top of its robust pattern matching mechanism, Russian Name Search uses Russian-specific algorithms, such as nickname matching and spelling variant substitutions, to increase both the precision and recall of Russian name retrieval.
